ACETIC ACID 80% TECHNICAL Acetic Acid is an acidulant, process solvent and is one of the simplest carboxylic acids. It is a weak acid; in that it is only partially dissociated in an aqueous solution. Acetic Acid is a byproduct of fermentation and is a clear, colourless liquid with a very sour taste and pungent, vinegar-like smell and has antibacterial and antifungal properties. As a biodegradable form of acid and an organic compound, acetic acid is less corrosive than inorganic acids. It is easily broken down by sunlight, making acetic acid incredibly environmentally friendly.
